About Under Armour
It started with a simple plan to make a superior T-shirt. A shirt that provided compression and wicked perspiration off your skin rather than absorb it. A shirt that worked with your body to regulate temperature and enhance performance. Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank,

Under Armour is the originator of performance apparel - gear engineered to keep athletes cool, dry, and light throughout the course of a game, practice, or workout. The technology behind Under Armour's diverse product assortment for men, women, and youth is complex, but the program for reaping the benefits is simple: wear HeatGear when it's hot, ColdGear when it's cold, and AllSeasonGear between the extremes. Under Armour's mission is to make all athletes better through passion, science, and the relentless pursuit of innovation. Every Under Armour product is doing something for you; it's making you better.

4 out of 5 stars Pleasant Surprise   June 18, 2009

I saw all the glowing reviews and I have found Under Armour shorts to be a bit over-rated in the past. I am from Maryland originally, and that's where UA was founded so my friends have been using their gear for a decade now. In the past, the gear I have purchased made by UA tended to be ill-fitting and the fabric was incredibly easy to tear and not durable (made in Guatemala). I bought both a boxerjock and a compression short recently and I like both. Yes, they do fit tight and always have. Like really tight. They are supposed to. For one, some American apparel makers size a medium as a 34 waist and others as a 32 waist. There is no standardized sizing in the U.S., unlike most countries. U.A. Gear size medium is DEFINITELY sized for a 32 waist. In fact, if you have a 30 inch waist, I'd still go with a medium unless you really want a tight fit. On the plus side of this, the boxerjock is supportive of your muscles and makes exercising do a lot less damage to your muscles by cradling them. I personally prefer the compression short over the boxerjock for athletics. Its definitely not comfortable enough for everyday wear but the compression fit is a must if you are doing serious athletics. If you just want nice (though expensive) everyday underwear though, the boxerjock is a good choice if you are looking for something made out of synthetic fabrics to deal with heat or sweat. I wish it was clearer before purchase about the difference between the various inseam lengths available on the boxer-jock. A 6 inch inseam is VERY short and I know that surprises some people. If you have not worn trunks before I'd suggest starting out with the 9-inch version and seeing how you like it. A 6 inch inseam is going to give you more freedom of movement, but less support for your thighs and is going to ride up a bit more. The "long" boxerjock I assume provides better leg support but I personally find underwear that long to be somewhat uncomfortable, especially if you have thick athletic legs, unless you are going to just wear it for sports competitions in which case support probably matters more than comfort.

5 out of 5 stars Boxer Jocks FTW   May 29, 2007

One word. Awesome. I have been looking for a decent pair of underwear pretty for a long time. I used to wear boxers, then went to briefs, then went to the Calvin Klein style cotton "boxer briefs". Never found anything that I would call comfortable, and worked with all of my pants. Got tired of having that awful incompatibility between boxers and pants, and didn't like the swampy feel from boxer briefs in the summer. Gave the UA a try, as I had a few pairs of compression tights that I would change into at the gym, and thought this might save some time.

The UnderArmour is a really nice fit, tight, but not constricting, and the mesh gives the boys enough support while not being at all stifling. Because its tight it has no problems with any kind of pants, tight or baggy, and it breathes like a champ, and is very cool even in hot days, unlike cotton briefs of either style. All in all the best underwear I feel you can use. Definately pricey, but mine have held up well and don't seem to be suffering any ill effects after a year of being washed once a week. Give em a try.

5 out of 5 stars Should be military issue   May 3, 2007

These ought to be standard military issue. They are incredibly comfortable, and the mesh front gives support and ventilation like no other. The design of the front mesh jock like pouch keeps the twins from sticking to youre thighs. A fresh pair of these and double dash of Gold Bond powder and your set for day in the field!

5 out of 5 stars Great Jocks   March 28, 2007

Great stuff. I brought a couple of pair to try and they'd have to be the best jocks I own. The double front mesh panels seem to be able to adjust to just the right size. These provide a comfortable amount of support and yet allow for reasonable bit movement. Highly recommended.

This is must have. They are great for activity use but I love mine so much I bought more and wear them everyday. The soft front pouch gives you support but also allows you to breath while the legs area little tighter and run up your legs. AWESOME
