| Customer Reviews: Ideal Real Thermos +++ April 23, 2010 Kevin Kiersky (Olympia, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the best thermos bottle I have ever seen. It holds a generous portion of your favorite potion. I made a batch of hot tea in it, took it with me to read a book -- forgot about the tea for three hours -- reluctantly tried the "likely cold tea" -- and was startled by still scalding-hot tea. Later, I tried-it-out with hot tea for six hours -- which had cooled a bit -- but was still fairly hot. It keeps icy drinks so well that the ice has trouble melting after a few hours. This thermos has two nestled insulation bottles and a thick lid -- as I curiously checked to try to figure-out why it works so well. It also has a sleek brushed steel outer casing and the lid has a handy rotating carry-ring with a knob to brace your thumb on while twisting the lid off and on and a non-slip rubber base to complete the very sturdy design. As for the eco-friendly question -- this bottle is so long-lasting that it is quite eco-friendly -- by virtue of not needing another such bottle for many years. This "Sigg Thermo Ring Top Water Bottle" is an ideal real thermos and an exemplar of recent very fine design -- very much worth the non-cheap cost +++
They're in use rigt now. September 6, 2009 G. Stewart (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Sadly, a person will have to locate an over sized bottle holder for bicycles. These are a little too big for regular bike cages. They look like big bullets. Cup should be entered in the Guggenheim museum. Light in weight. Stinky rubber smell when you open the box. So what else is new they're made in China.
