great product! February 12, 2010 L. Thornhill (Florida) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This water bottle is such a good product that this is the first time I've reviewed any product on Amazon. The insulated construction works for both hot and cold drinks. I occasionally like to bring along drinks other than water, and I found that the plastic reusable bottles retained the smell of coffee, etc., not to mention the whole ugly idea of introducing more plastic product to the world. This bottle looks clean, stays clean and odor free, and the metal retains the right temperature. I highly recommend this Eco-Vessel insulated product.
My favorite May 9, 2010 Suzee Q 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've tried several brands and this is my favorite so far. Ergonomic and well engineered.
The biggest plus for me is that you drink from a round opening that's big enough to pour water into your mouth. No whistles or noises. I like that the spout's plastic because it's softer, but the water's stored in stainless steel. The lid's easy to unscrew and is attached by a longish strap, so it gets out of your way when you drink, but you don't lose it. The strap is flexible, but substantial.
I didn't think I'd care about the ice screen, but it's kind of neat because as the ice melts it gets smaller and will 'surprise you' when your drinking. In addition, as the ice goes out of your bottle, your water won't stay as cold.
It's also light, yet insulates better than or the same as the others I tried. The only one I tried that insulates a little better is my Nissan vacuum sealed thermos, but that's not "handy" like this is.
The 17oz. fits in my car cup holder and the 25 oz works well for my bedside table. I pack it full of ice and fill it up with water and it will stay icy cold even if I leave it in my car for a couple to a few days (depending upon how hot it's been, of course).
A few more colors would be nice.
Strong container! July 30, 2010 D. Miller (Sherman Oaks, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Finally! An option for an insulated bottle that works well for kids without all those breakable plastic parts! We've had MANY Thermos Funtainers and while the idea of them is great, those plastic pop-tops always end up breaking/snapping off and if they don't break, there's always the gross-out factor with the straw and the plastic it's connected to and the inability to REALLY get them clean that brings me down. When a friend of mine recommended this bottle, I was so excited to find that the construction is entirely metal (except for the spout which is very strong/sturdy) and the strap that connects the detachable top to the base. It's holding up to the extreme punishment my kids give it and still keeping water COLD after an entire day of being outside in 90+ degree heat. It's worth every single penny! Love this product and so do my kids! Hooray! P.S. We have one this size and one of the 25 oz. which is not that much bigger in size and worth the tiny bit of extra space for the extra 8 oz. capacity.
You won't regret it May 20, 2010 TheDuck (Dallas, TX USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased two of these smaller Eco Vessel water bottles for my kids. I got tired of them chewing on the spouts of the standard sport bottles, the Camelbak bottles, and just regular water bottles that I purchased for them. While there is a bit of plastic from which you drink on these Eco Vessels, it's not horribly comfortable to chew on. These have lasted (and still look nice) much longer than any other bottle they've owned. I liked them so much, I decided to order one of the bigger ones for myself. Honestly, I think the smaller ones are a bit more convenient; they fit in my hand better.
Buy one, you'll love it! Liquids stay cold all day, if you add ice. They don't sweat, they don't leak, and they don't impart any taste to the water.
Eco Vessel Insulated Sealed Stainless Steel Water Bottle, 17 ounces May 11, 2010 Frank Hank (Chesapeake Bay) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Nice bottle. Attractive finish. Double wall construction keeps liquids cold, especially with ice added. Tops are attached to bottle. It has two tops, a small one to sip or pour from and a larger one to fill it or pour from, the smaller one screws onto the top one. Comes with two small screens that would be handy if drinking loose tea- they fit in the top of the bottle. The size is great for carrying around during the day. I only wish it came with an insulated cover for greater insulation during the summer. I want to try it with a soda, but haven't done that, yet. Haven't tried with with anything hot, either. The price was right and I'd purchase it again.
